Yesterday, I boldly decided to cook a Thai Pork Stir-Fry for the girls dinner. It’s not something I’ve ever cooked for the girls before (dum dum duuuum), so I cooked a back up Turkey Dinosaur and Carrot sticks just in case it all went Pete Tong, which it did. All I can say is Thank God for my back up plan.
Both girl’s were not in an adventurous mood. Bella was in denial and simply pretended that the Pork Stir-Fry wasn’t on her plate. She did at least eat all the Dinosaur and Carrot sticks #smallvictory. Flo’s tastebuds were obviously not ready for a new type of cuisine. The look of shock at this new, zesty flavour was priceless.
Once she got bored of covering her sock with Egg Noodles, in true Flo fashion she started lobbing the stir fry on the floor, walls and anything else it would stick to. I’m not throwing in the towel just yet! I’ve saved a batch and stuck it in the freezer to try with the girl’s again.
The Stir Fry was actually really delicious and I will definitely cook it again for me and my Hubby. This Thai Pork Stir-Fry Recipe was taken from Truly Scrumptious Baby Cook Book by Holly Willoughby. I need to whip the girl’s tastebuds into shape, but if you’re little ones are adventurous with their food and you want to give it a go, here’s the recipe:
